Bitter orange is a plant. The peel of this plant is sued to make bitter orange oil whereas the flower, leaf and the fruit are used to develop its extracts. It can be taken by mouth as well as applied externally over the skin. It is effective for treating the fungal skin infections. It is also used for gastrointestinal disorder including ulcer in the intestines, constipation, diarrhea, and blood in feces. Bitter Orange is also used for treating swelling of the eyelid. In Aromatherapy, it is sued as a pain killer. It has many chemicals that affect the nervous system. These chemicals squeeze the blood vessels and allows the heart to pump blood faster.
